FENG PENG - SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF CHINA:

Feng Peng, Senior Vice President of China: Feng Peng joined HC International as a Vice President in 2007.  He is a bi-lingual team member who is fluent in English and Mandarin. He spent most of the time leveraging his knowledge and business acumen to provide strategic counsel and investor relations guidance to specified, assigned clients by taking into consideration each client's vision and corporate business objectives, including corporate image/identity, and positioning issues, as a means of providing the most effective counsel to implement a strategic investor relations agenda while also solving critical investor communication issues. Feng is also responsible for expanding the investor relations practice within the region, primarily by generating new client relationships through business development efforts and following up with leads to meeting with management teams on the ground in the PRC. Feng worked for Citigroup as an Assistant Vice President and as a consultant for Thomson Financial in New York.  He also worked for the Bank of China when he resided there.  He is a graduate of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Bachelors) and New Jersey Institute of Technology (Master’s in Computer Science).  Feng is fluent in Mandarin and English and CFA Level II candidate.

TED J. HABERFIELD - EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – WEST COAST:

Ted Haberfield provides strategic management consulting to public companies by integrating the areas of finance, marketing, and compliance to help facilitate a clear, concise and consistent communication strategy with both shareholders and the investment community at large. Prior to joining HC International, Ted spent over thirteen years as a financial advisor serving the investment needs of high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors, including non-profit organizations and sovereign governments. He served as Second Vice President of Wealth Management at Smith Barney, a division of Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and worked as Second Vice President of Investments at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Ted has been a speaker on financial related topics at the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), First Nation’s Development Institute, Guatemala Prospera and other national level associations. He is also founder of the American Indian Community Foundation, which serves the needs of Native Americans through endowed funds and direct gifts. Ted has his Series 7 and 63 licenses and is a qualified and regulated professional for his client base. He received his degree in Financial Management at California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo and currently resides in Encinitas, CA with his wife Danielle and his two daughters, Layla and London.

JOHN T. MATTIO - SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT:

John Mattio joined us in 2008. John is a career internationalist having worked and traveled to more than 100 countries his 15-year career in international business, trade and finance. For 10 years, he represented the international sales, marketing and distribution interests of mid and large cap multinational US firms in the Industrial, Food service, Hardware& Lawn and Garden and Automotive industries. In doing so, he aided the development of profitable global networks of direct sales and retail channels with offices throughout the world for noted brands such as Hamilton Beach, Turtle Wax, Hunter Fan and MTD Products. John has also worked for global logistics and trade companies based in the US and Switzerland. His unique experience and in depth understanding of local business and management platforms provides HCI the experience to qualify the operational and management team expertise essential to producing returns for investors. Moreover, his international communication skills are instrumental in presenting our clients marketing position and company strength in its sector. Fluent in four languages, John is a cum laud graduate of the American University's School of International Service, Washington DC and also holds a Master's degree in International and Intercultural Management from the School for International Training in Vermont, USA.

SCOTT POWELL - VICE PRESIDENT: (Based in USA – New York)

Prior to joining HCI, Scott worked for several years as an investment banker with some of the leading U.S. middle market investment banks providing services to U.S. listed Chinese companies.  Scott has worked on numerous transactions for U.S. listed Chinese companies, including IPOs, secondary offerings, registered direct offerings, PIPEs, reverse mergers, private placements, and buy and sell side M&A advisory assignments.  Scott built and maintains strong relationships with investment banks, analysts, and institutional investors globally, with a particularly strong network of Asian based institutional investors.  Scott earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant College in Smithfield, RI and his Master of Arts and PhD in Sociology from Brown University in Providence, RI.  He holds the Series 7, 55, 63, and 24 securities licenses.

MARK FLATHER - DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH

Mark Flather is a seasoned investment professional with a dynamic entrepreneurial background that he brings to the Director of Outreach position.  With eight years of buy-side experience working for Hermes Advisors, one of the top performing hedge funds in the country during his tenure, Mark has a keen understanding and relevant hands-on experience in the core aspects of investing in alternative strategies.   At Hermes, he streamlined the business operations as the chief operating officer and was the sole equity trader of the fund for six years.  Joining HC International at the end of 2009, he focuses on effectively communicating client stories to fund managers, sell-side analysts, brokers and individuals who are interested in the China space.  He received his BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara and currently resides in Solana Beach, California with his wife and two children.
